Mission report: Cooking 3&4, Curry rice, Sweden
同時製作のカレー、スウエーデン・バージョンの発表です。
Simultanious cooking, report from Sweden.
I used "S&B Dinner curry - karakuchi" the most spicy version.
The recipie according to my Mission call blog article.
These are my ingredients for the Kare.
2x large potatos
1x Carrot
3x onions
3x Skogschampinioner.
+ not on picture:
Soy beans
Kvanne
Rödbetor, some few (kylskåpsrensning)
Vitkål (kylskåpsrensning)
Meat, fransyska.
This is my definition of たべやすいおおきさ、 "easy to eat suitable size".
Lite "kvanne" som jag hittat på koloniområdet. Jag har även varit och plockat vild pepparrot, dock ej använd här).
Since I baked bread this weekend (as usual) put in the meat so it was förkokt. This way, I don't need to boil the kare so long time. The right picture "prepared" meat + soybeans.
In the original recipie, you put in roux in the end. Since I use pressure cooker, I did put it before.
Hmmm,,,,,, quite watery......
Strange.....It is always like this when I cook Kare. Not at thick as in the restaurant in Japan.
I consulted a friend and she said, she add less water than stated on the package.
--<24h>--
It is said that Kare is even tastier if it rest and soak the taste for one night.
So, 24 h waiting. I am so used to wait while dough ferment, so I can wait for curry too. Slow cooking, so to say.
じゃじゃーん。Served with mission 4, rice (but from rice cooker) and mango chutney.
You could feel the cpicyness of this curry, so it tasted very well with chutney. おいしかったー。
End of Kare-raisu report from Sweden. So how is south African one??
