Leaving asia.....

Hello from Singapore airport.
It's time to leave Asia, it feels a bit sad. I have a long journey ahead of me.

I'll definetly be back here and in Indonesia for holiday someday.

Singapore bugs

So, After one week in Indonesia, I am in Singapore to spend 2 days. The stopover ticket was US$1000 cheper than the flight back home on saturday. On top of that, I don't want to just go home if I have an opportunity to look around in the area.

I had a 2 night reservation at a hotel I found on internet, a *** with quite god review. Cheap/simple but safe and clean. OK. It was. However, When I came back from my first tour around in Arab and Indian neighbourhood, I found small flies on the tabletop. When I looked closer, I noticed it was small small ants. I killed it but it kept on coming new ones.

12.30 in the evening (night) I turned on my laptop to see whether it was possible to sneak on somebodies wifi connection. It was. So I searched for a new hotel, cancelled the second night and booked the new hotel. Not I am going up to ****. I am not picky but I don't want ants in my room. This morning, it was even more of them. It is a mistery, because they are only on the bedside table. Not on the bed luckily. Don't know what's attracts them. Anyway, I am now at a webcafe to print out my hotelvoucher. 4 singapore dollar, it is worth it!

Behind the glas

Yesterday and this morning we painted the wall between the cupboards in the kitchen. After many thougths m gave up and she did let me decide on color and pattern. I went with a ligth grey that we already had in the house (was used in m's previous apartment) and a pattern that m had created. First we used tape to form the pattern and then m started to paint but the color was totaly wrong. We started over with a dark grey instead. Now it is finished and it looks really fabulous! I bet that m will publish some pictures soon and then you can see how great it looks!

Hopefully we can put up the glas this week so that we finaly can start using the Kitchen!

Wine

There is a 35cm open space under the stone worktop, along the wall where I was struggling the last week.


So, I had an idea to have something here, preferably wine storage space. So finally after a lot of reseach, we went to IKEA and bought two pieces of HUTTEN á 69 kr, a door and some wheels.
HUTTEN was placed on top of each other and after a lot of struggle, we managed to put wheels on the Hutten floor 1.



So, now, the door was attached onto the side of Hutten.
