Bye bye

So after a weekend of packing, M is today leaving for a longer trip.
One suitcase with whatever, a soft backback with more of whatever and a box of bicycle.
This bicycle was a troublesome decision for M.
To bring or not bring?
The old bicycle used to belong to my mom but since nobody used it anymore, it had one wheel already in the bycicle heaven. Then, the saviour M adopted her(=bicycle, FYI) and used it for 2-3years.
After one season of riding to work, total 24km /day, M purchaised a new one this year. So What the fate for the old bike?
It has been lying in our bicycle storage room, and since we are trying to get rid of all unnecessary stuff, the natural next step was the "metal recycling center".
Instead, the old red bike is acccompanying M to South Africa.
She's repaired and will be running around in Johannesburg suburbs.
It's not an easy luggage to handle, but in a country where no local transport (in principle) exist and everybody is driving to just buy some milk, I think a bicycle is great to have.
When it's time for M to return, we hope she'll find a nice local family who can adopt her and let her live a happy bike-retirement life in the southern hemisphere
Today at 4:50 am.
Oh by the way, some yogurt levain is also accompanying M.
My other contributions to M's luggage were "Hondashi" and "Miso" so he can cook Misoshiru.

The bike is now safely in South Africa. It had a bit of troubles in the transport. It missed it´s connection in Paris and arraived almost one day later than me. But now it is here and is parked in the office storage room.

Nej än så länge så pratar hon bara svenska och japanska. måste träffa andra cyklar för att lära sig afrikaans.
